Lounjy

Add a playlist

For anyone setting up Lounjy for the first time: how to put your own TV service's playlist in the app.

Tip for the TV

Nobody likes typing with a remote. So choose With your phone: you scan a QR code and fill in everything on your phone. See Set up from your phone.

Where to start

Choose Add playlist on Home or in Live TV, or later via Settings → Playlists → Add playlist. The Add playlist window opens. Not sure whether you have Xtream Codes or M3U? Read Xtream Codes or M3U.

Xtream Codes

  1. Choose Xtream Codes.
  2. Fill in Server, with the port, for example http://service.example:8080.
  3. Fill in Username and Password.
  4. Choose Log in.
  1. Choose M3U playlist.
  2. Paste the link under Or paste an M3U link.
  3. Choose Load.

Does the link contain get.php? Then Lounjy turns it into an Xtream login, with movies, series and TV guide.

M3U file

  1. Choose M3U playlist.
  2. Choose Choose an M3U file and open the file (.m3u or .m3u8).

Note

A file isn't updated automatically, and you can't send it from your phone to the TV. If you also have a link or Xtream details, use those.

Set up from your phone

  1. Put your phone on the same Wi-Fi network as the TV.
  2. On the TV, in Add playlist, choose With your phone.
  3. Scan the QR code with your phone's camera.
  4. Choose Xtream Codes or M3U link, fill in your details and choose Send.

The TV then loads your playlist. Your phone doesn't need Lounjy for this. Can't scan? Type the TV's address into your browser and the six digits under the pairing code.

Safe

Your details go straight from your phone to the TV, not through us. The code works for ten minutes. Expired? Choose New code.

What's different per device

  • Android phone: there's no With your phone button. You fill in everything directly.

Not working?

  • The pairing screen couldn't start: fill in the details on the TV itself.
  • This device isn't connected to a home network: connect the TV to Wi-Fi or a cable.
  • Does your service refuse the connection? Read What is a user agent?

Lounjy provides no content. You need a TV service that gives you Xtream Codes details or an M3U link; a cable, fibre or satellite subscription won't work. Only use a service that holds the rights to what it streams.
