Start Lounjy remotely

Is Lounjy closed on your Fire TV, Google TV or Android TV? Open it from your phone or PC, without the remote.

Before you start

Pair the TV once first (see Pair your phone). On Fire TV that isn't needed beforehand. The TV must be on.

Start

  1. Tap the cast icon (Play on TV).
  2. Choose the row … · Start Lounjy.
  3. Within about fifteen seconds Lounjy opens on the TV and things carry on as usual.

Once on Google TV and Android TV

If Lounjy on the TV comes from Google Play, there's nothing to set up. If you installed Lounjy separately, pair your phone the first time like this:

  1. Choose … · Start Lounjy. A six-character code appears on the TV.
  2. Type that code on your phone under Code on the TV.
  3. Choose Pair.

Not working?

  1. Open Lounjy on the TV with the remote. Your phone then carries on by itself.
  2. Check that Receive from phone or laptop is on on the TV.
  3. Choose Try again.

Tip for Fire TV

With an Alexa remote, say: “Alexa, open Lounjy”.

Revoke the pairing on Google TV

On the TV: Settings → Apps → All apps → Show system apps → Android TV Remote Service → Clear data. On your phone: in the list, Help → Remove all TV pairings.

Note

Clearing data on the TV also removes the pairings of other apps you use as a remote.
